in almost four weeks I’ve climbed the Rocky Mountains with my old but lovely 1989 Aerostar, waded through a lake of salt, walked over a vulcano, crossed the desert, celebrated my craziest christmas ever in Vegas, was blessed by “Honest Mechanics” who didn’t charge me one buck because they are still wondering why my engine didn’t break into 1000 pieces, played Cowboy in front of some big rocks in Monument Valley and Indian at the Grand Canyon, took a deep breath at the beach of LA, had a long conversation with my neighbor in a motel (who was a drugdealer by the way) who warned me about cocaine but guessed that meth would fit better to me and gave me a gold coin as farewell present, swum with the whales in Long Beach and still have the taste of Texas’ oil in it’s purest form on my tounge; man – what an awesome trip! …and yes, of course I stayed clean mom ; )

Thanksgiving

my first thanksgiving in america! nisha’s cousin julie invited me for thanksgiving dinner and I ate my first turkey surrounded by the whole loving family, which means 20 or more people. after one hour I stopped counting; )

“Don’t even think about it!” were the last words of his father before the little boy jumped into the puddle.
Thanksgiving
This picture would be a normal picture – if there wouldn’t have been the sun right above his
head. The water rings in the puddle, the last words of his father which you can’t see but if you know them it suddenly let’s you feel everything again. The warm sun on your skin when you was a child, playing all day long outside and the time when you thought the world would perish because you dropped a plate in thousand pieces. The time when time was extended.

all these website updating and sitting the whole day in front of the computer is really depressive, so I decided to go out and just do something…anything, just shooting, and here is my little 20 minutes workout;) What happened is that I shoot it in b/w, but unfortunately the colors are so great…oh I hate it when this happens! Let’s see what it is tomorrow when I am going back…goodnight!boxingboxingboxingboxingboxingboxingboxing

tribute to

since I am travelling so much I see the sky in a different way and I can not help myself…it is so fascinating for me; I could shoot 200 frames in 200 steps of the same cloud-it will always look different, beautiful, fascinating, sometimes the colors are looking like they would appear only for me…skysky

And after all, finally, I found myself at Barnstorm. I will never forget this great experience, this great team…Victoria, who was my private psychologist in a car – I can only imagine what she would be able to do if she would have had a couch;), Maura, who was my supporter every day (and night) and Mary, the vigilant eye above our team…at this few days, we were bleeding turquoise.

what a trip! very early in the morning, on the way to st. louis airport I got a call that my flight was cancelled and I had to wait for 6h at the airport. But I got a free meal – so it was not too bad. Also I was the only one out of 50 passengers who got a flight at the same day. Even if it doesn’t looked so at first sight I think I got my luck back! All the others had to wait till the next morning for a flight. Next stop Chicago, where I was going through a feng shui-kind of wellness-tunnel-with soft chilling music which I guess should calm you down when you had to wait 6h for a damn flight… and I met a huge nice dinosaure; finally I arrived at Grand Central Station, NY, at 2am.

MPW is over. It was an amazing week, with amazing photographers and more amazing characters! Strangers became friends and to some I still feel very close. I also met Nisha who is in jail since eight month now. She gave birth to Lyla, three weeks before she had to go. But please have a look at Nisha’s story at my website.
